  • What are acoustical ceilings?

Acoustic ceiling panels act as sound barriers, preventing noise from moving into neighboring rooms while also reducing sound levels within a space. By absorbing, eliminating, and diffusing sound, these panels contribute to a more enjoyable atmosphere, minimizing echoes and unwanted noise.

  • What are ceiling grid systems?

A suspended grid (also known as a T-bar grid or drop ceiling grid) is designed to hang from your actual ceiling or ceiling joists, creating enough space above the drop ceiling to conceal ductwork, plumbing, electrical lines, and other essential but unsightly utilities.

  • Will ceiling tiles improve my acoustics?

Most standard suspended ceiling tiles (unless they are highly specialized and costly) won't significantly affect room acoustics (NRC) or reduce pass-through noise (STC) in your home or business. However, we do offer options that can greatly enhance the acoustic performance of any drop ceiling. When combined with the right tiles, you can achieve a stunning, budget-friendly acoustical ceiling.

  • What do acoustical ceilings do?

Acoustic ceiling panels act as sound barriers, preventing noise from moving into adjacent rooms while also minimizing sound levels within a space. By absorbing, eliminating, and diffusing sound, these panels contribute to a more enjoyable environment, free from echoes and distracting noise.

  • What are the disadvantages of acoustic ceilings?

One drawback of acoustic tiles is that they are not waterproof, though they can resist certain levels of humidity. The silver lining is that they are easy to replace.
